My rating: LOVED.
I love Penny Reid and that is all there is to it.
This book has it all: hero and heroine with great chemistry. Great writing, great storyline. Wonderful supporting characters (Hello, Eleanor O’Malley, mother of Dan the Security Man). A friendship amongst a group of women that I would die to have for myself (why do real women not have and/or retain friendships like the ones in these books?).
And some of the best potty mouth language I’ve ever enjoyed reading. Dan may come in #2 after Drew (but we aren’t including the Winston Brothers, who are their own series and another group of heroes that I can rank in other reviews).
I admit that I’ve been writing reviews for years and I am lacking in the best way to stress how much I love the books that I love. Further, my feelings about romance novels have changed over the past year, so I am reading fewer of them…however, Penny Reid’s books will always be a go-to for me along with two other romance authors who are like her: romance out of the box, unique, and really deserving of the title “Reid Romance.”
Yea, I suck ass at writing reviews now…what can I say other than I feel like I’m out of words.
So bottom line is you really need to read EVERY SINGLE PENNY REID BOOK THERE IS. I love all the feels I get with every book she writes. And she makes me yearn for heroes like hers. <3
